WHAT IS A RHYTHM RETREAT?

A rhythm retreat is a one day/weekend/ or weeklong facilitated drumming and rhythm activity event for people who are interested in exploring the Healing, Recreational, and Spiritual or Motivational aspects of Hand Drumming. A Rhythm Retreat experience will enlighten you about, and introduce you to the POWER OF RHYTHM.

At our Rhythm Retreats, we encourage open discussion about what exactly RHYTHM is, and how it affects our lives.  We introduce people to methods of using rhythm to enhance their well being, and their overall development using hand drumming, body percussion and rhythmical games and activities.  You will learn how to drum for fun and relaxation, or to de-stress.  Also we will explore the Therapeutic side of drumming, and drumming for emotional, and Spiritual wellness.

Drumming of course is very empowering and energizing, and we will be looking at ways in which you can Motivate and Inspire yourself, find your creative side and build self confidence and self esteem…all by using the POWER OF DRUMMING AND RHYTHM.

A Rhythm Retreat is not without it’s fun moments, and there will be lot’s of laughs along the way as the Retreats are facilitated in a very user friendly way.  Also we must not forget the social and community elements of group drumming and drum circles, and although a Rhythm Retreat is not a drum lessons course as such, we will learn simple drumming techniques, simple rhythms and drum circle etiquette that you can take home with you to your local drum circle.

Above all a Rhythm Retreat is about RECREATION…EMPOWERMENT…MOTIVATION AND WELLNESS.

WHO IS A RHYTHM RETREAT FOR?

A Rhythm Retreat is for ANYONE who has an interest in drumming for recreation, wellness or creativity.  Also for women’s / men’s groups, or corporate and community groups or teams.

It would also be of interest to SCHOOL TEACHERS for class work, THERAPISTS as an addition to their current therapies, or COUNCILLORS and SOCIAL WORKERS as part of their work in community settings.
